Competition Background With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology and application globally, in order to significantly promote the application of artificial intelligence in art industry, Art and Technology Innovation Base of Tsinghua University and Art and Science Research Center of Tsinghua University joins hands with Innovation Angel Fund and ping99.com to launch the Global AI Art Competition (GAAC), aiming to create the brand-new AI art field through AI technology and artistic creation, so as to explore the AI art industrial value. “GAAC” will collect works mainly from relevant enterprises and academic institutions that engage in AI technology and AI art creation. Moreover, the industrial well-known experts and scholars will give selection and awards to it. The works range covers fine arts, music and literature. 2018 is the first session of GAAC. In the future, it will be held once a year.

Incentive Measures: First: One First Best GAAC Prize, Bonus: RMB 100,000 and a trophy. Second: Grand Prizes in four fields: 1. Gold Prize: One person in each field, Bonus: RMB 10,000 and a trophy. 2. Silver Prize: One person in each field, Bonus: RMB 5,000 and a trophy. 3. Bronze Prize: One person in each field, Bonus: RMB 2,000 and a trophy. 4. Excellent Work: 5 in each field, awarded with a certificate of merit. 5. Selected Work: A number of participants will be selected in each field, awarded with a certificate of merit.
